On this short episode and part 1 of two interviews we get to meet Lauren Gruel! She is the Director of Marketing and front of house trainer for Slapfish Restaurant Group. Wife and mother to 2 soon to be 3 children. She grew up in Huntington Beach, CA aka “Surf City USA” with her 3 siblings. She went from a full time culinary school student and working a 9-5 job to support her daughter, to meeting and marrying her best friend and husband, Chef Andrew Gruel. They now run Slapfish Restaurant Group together with the help of an awesome team. She has always had a passion for the restaurant industry from an early age. She is currently working on her own project “Lolo’s Tacos” set to open in 2019.

We speak about the booming restaurant chain-Slapfish that Lauren has with her husband. Juggling motherhood, being pregnant, and building their businesses. We also talk about balancing being ambitious and motherhood.
