Kyle Thousand, Head of Baseball for Roc Nation
Kyle Thousand became the head of baseball for Roc Nation by 35, a massive achievement. Roc Nation was founded by Jay Z and represents athletes like Kyrie Irving, CC Sabathia, Dez Bryant, Todd Gurley, Robinson Cano, Yoenis Cespedies, and musicians like Alycia Keys, J. Cole, and Rihanna. Kyle a talented baseball player in his own right, was forced to retire due to injury. Kyle went back to school to pursue his law degree. After surviving round after round of layoffs during the 2008 financial crisis, Kyle found himself on unemployment having to start over. His hustle and open-mind eventually got him back into a powerful law firm and finding his stride as a sports agent. Seeing an opportunity in New York, Kyle sold everything, including liquidating his retirement accounts to take the chance on a dream job in NY, eventually becoming the head of Baseball with Roc Nation.
