Assaf purchased his first home in Venice Beach in 1998, which was to become his entry point into the field of real estate. He got his real estate sales license in 2004. He started his own boutique brokerage, “Dogtown Realty,” in 2013. The firm is ongoing to this date. In 2012 he co-founded “Dogtown Coffee” within the old Zephyr shop location in South Santa Monica. The shop has been a huge success since its inception and began unofficial franchising in 2019. Finally, his self-published book, Rites of Passage, came out in 2017. It depicts the true story of his spiritual Rebirth, which took place in Burning Man 2011.
