On this episode of the Elevate Podcast, I talk with Chris Petersen.

Chris Petersen is a serial entrepreneur who’s first startup was acquired in early 2018 after nearly a decade of operations. Prior to that, he spent 5 years in brand marketing at Procter & Gamble, served as a US Army officer, and (fun fact) worked for the now infamous former Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich as a post-graduate fellow with the State of Illinois.

After the acquisition, Chris saw a problem in the tech industry in how jobs were found, and co-founded Futurexecs Career Accelerators, where he leads the firm’s strategy and marketing efforts.

When he’s not teaching entrepreneurship at the University of Cincinnati, mentoring up and coming startups, and building his new venture – he lives a typical suburban dad life of chauffeuring kids around and buying guitars that he commits to playing and rarely does.

In this episode, Chris and I talk about his experience selling a company and then starting again with his new company, the emotional ups and downs of entrepreneurship, and his affinity for collecting weird instruments.
